After debating for about a year, I’ve decided to get my feet wet in the world of blogging.  For the majority of my life, I’ve longed to write. Stories, poetry and the like have always flown from my brain onto paper and into the trash. In April and May of 2011 I decided to try my hand at writing fanfic and while I’m still struggling to get the hang of writing every day, I won’t give up. The writing also has to share my attention with photo editing, which is another passion of mine.

I’m determined to continue to write and create works of art even though I’m going through a crisis of confidence. More about that another day.

The title I chose for my blog is Living Life The Hard Way because, unfortunately I’ve taken the hard way at every fork in the road for the past 40 years.

Not sure where this blog will go or how long I’ll sustain it, but for now, welcome to the world of Mel.
