“The prize of all too precious you. Shakespeare (Sonnet 86)”
Romance is something I’ve never been adept in. I haven’t learned the subtle nuances of love. For one thing, I’m too practical. Roses, candy and the like are just fluff, and for me fluff is a turn off.
For the past year and a half I’ve been good friends with a woman who, in spite of some rather unpleasant experiences, still has a good grip of romance and what love means.
I’ve read her stories, both original fiction and fan-fiction. While romance and happily ever after isn’t usually my genre of choice, I read hers because of the solid plot lines, believable scenarios and careful character development.
Tomorrow, this book goes on sale:
These three ladies have jumped into the publishing fray and are ready to make a name for themselves in the world of romance literature. Even though this book is not my preferred genre, I will buy it. Not because of my friendship with the authors, but because I know from past experience the quality of their work.
So a toast to my friends Laura, Michele and Lisa for their bravery and talent. May you have much success with this compilation and many more in the future!
Love,
Melissa
